The Virginia Talent & Opportunity Partnership (Virginia TOP) is the state’s intern initiative to increase work-based learning for college students (post-secondary are eligible). The state pays half the cost of the interns and the employer goes through an online training to develop a qualified internship program.
In the Northern Neck of Virginia, the Rappahannock Work & Learn Collaborative acts as the regional group for Virginia TOP. Any business, nonprofit, or government can attend the free interactive workshops on how to develop an internship program.

Session Details
- Learn how to develop high-quality, mutually beneficial internship experiences
- Learn and network with other organizations in the Fredericksburg, Middle Peninsula, and Northern Neck areas
- Fulfill the training prerequisite for state-funded support (50% funding match and/or staffing agency services) to create or expand your internship program
